The 17th annual World Travel Awards

The 2010 World Travel Awards  marked a year- long search to find the best travel companies in the world. The WTA is recognized all over the world for its glamour and prestige, and you can easily see and draw the similarities to The Oscars. That is probably also why the Wall Street Journal calls it The Oscars of the travel industry. This year it took place at The London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

WTA 2010 nominations featured 5,000 companies in 1,000 categories across 162 countries. The voting had been held online and they were selected by consumers and  industry professionals.

And here are some of the most exiting winners in my point of view.

Sukau Rainforest Lodge, Asia’s leading Green Hotel

Mandala Spa Boracay Island, Philippines’ Leading Resort

ZANK Boutique Hotel, Brazil’s leading Boutique Hotel

Maui, Hawaii,  North America’s Leading Beach Destination

Happy travels:)
